Gifts Of Love!

Whenever thou doubt! Thou Bargain The Gifts; "That God has woven in thy soul!" . As an artist I am constantly exploring, experimenting, creating. This project is an extension to my self, my journey & thoughts of all that brought me here. This project is not about showcasing the craft of how the embroidered piece looks, regarding the nuances & finishes, but more so the internal process that adds to the base of it. Throughout our lives, we are taught to fit in, to rather please others then to be our true-selves. We are taught to bargain that little voice of conscience in need to feel accepted, so much so that we start living with fear & doubts. We loose the truth within in name of traditions following a certain norms. I'm not against certain moral guidelines, but every time we allow ourselves to be dictated by trying to fit in, by not following our inner voice, we loose the gifts that God has endowed us. To me this cloth is our soul, and the threads pink & gold are the unique gift that he's already woven in each of us. And every time we doubt ourselves or let others dictate of what we can or cannot do, we make these threads feeble and in that loose connection to our true selves. Through this project I'm voicing out a big part of me, for inspite of living in chronic pain and unable to do things normally I bargained that little voice within to fit in. And I've realised these gifts to either be inclined to art, or to music or writing are gods ways to share his love with all and not to be bargained for anything or anyone. . Copyright: Meghna/2017
