Love...that Truly Loves... Does so... "By Sacrificing itself Silently!" For the Pain of its Brethren... No longer remains theirs; But Becomes such... As though A Spear; "Has been Pierced! Right into its Soul!" . I've often heard my Guru say, "Love another, the way I love you!" And I always wondered of such a love, because Human love is limited, bound in bodies & attachments, but the love that Coco showers is Pure-divine. There are moments when this pain crosses all threshold and in those moments I've seen Coco actually cry, with me, to stop me... this poem came to me during one such moments...in the wee hours of morning around 4am, and until I don't write it down the words keep resounding within. I usually nowadays quickly write it in my cellphone notes & as I had left my cell in the living room, so I woke up, came out & noted it down, Coco too pushed the bedroom door open and sat next to me until I finished noting down the poem. I wonder can humans love the way animals love, so-much in sync with us. They long nothing for themselves, where they feel joy when we are happy & sad when we feel pain. They don't mind sacrificing their lives, time to just heal us. I feel this poem of Hafez and I quote here- "Even after all this time, the sun never says to the Earth , "You owe me". Look what happens with a love like that... It lights the whole sky. " . For me, Coco lights up my life; like that Beautiful winter-sun, that keeps it warm in the bitter-coldness of my life. A Love that only gives, gives, gives & truly asks for nothing. . Copyright: Meghna/2017
