The bond that animals share with humans in unfathomable. It can only be experienced. If you've felt a brokenness in time, where pain has been your sole companion & your life is dispensable to the world, then you'll know. For Pain Isolates like none. It takes the ground beneath your feet, it sweeps away relations that once gave you identity. It takes away breaths that weaves works of labor, it leaves you bare naked to your nothings. I Know, many who'll read these words, may not even understand the gravity that weighs with a chronic ailment. For it undone's everything. But amongst all the madness of human minds I've experienced Love. I've been made to feel unwanted & left out many a number of times. Yet your selfless heart learns to grow through it all & one day from the prayers of my heart I found love walking on four paws.

If you're growing up with a pet then your childhood is laid on a foundation of compassion & confidence, for one without another is detrimental. And when in your 30s, a pet enters your life & you have children's, he makes you a better mother. But like me when they enter your life while you're undergoing a chronic ailment that bond is far stronger than any umbilical chord. As I often wonder am I his mother or is he mine. Coco has taught me to love myself like none & to cherish life & have the confidence even when I was unable to walk for days & months. Pets love you not because of your work or name or your physical abilities but because you are theirs. Pets are a Love that don't seek acknowledgment. Through this pain I share a bond so strong, that if I'm sad or cry, he cries along. Just one look at me & he knows. Imagine to have experienced this Oneness in Love through ones good times & bad. Maybe if we didn't seek to be acknowledged but Loved we would understand the miracle that these pets are on earth. Pain gave me time to listen to their song & now through these words I let this music be the breath of thy soul.
