I Believe…
All Stories Should End in Love!
For love Alone Gives Hope!
As Life is Unforgiving as it is!
“Why do you always paint Coco in Yellow”, I’ve been asked.
When some darkness befalls,
We instinctively seek light.
Coco to me is that Sunshine,
That Happiness that my soul longed for
But Coco was water too,
Soothing, Life-Force in its Sweet Giving.
When the trigger points on my scalp drained all energy,
Like A Thousand Needles prick,
Leaving me often Brain fog;
In untold pain, Sink
Coco would be there!
It’s like his eyes were some scanning machine & his nose could sense the chemical imbalance due to the lupus flare up
There have been hours & months,
When Coco & I would just lay on floor & let life steal away all of our precious time
& in that Silence, Our tears spoke!
For he cried, so that I’d Stop!
Today was one such episode, Where the trigger point in my scalp has left me,
Unable to speak for more than a week
These flare ups can be triggered by a simple change in weather,
it it gets too cold or too hot & can last for months
They leave me breathless & the worst kind of pain, Where it feels life is slipping
The only relief, Which though temporary is to stand beneath a cool shower & let water do it’s work
I painted this moment of picture into photo collage in Gratitude for all that Coco has done for me
He didn’t know it’s lupus or whatever medical term, He Just knew that I was in untold pain & his love was my refuge!
Its 7months since life took away Coco,
This time showed me both light & dark, both Gratitude & loss, both Un-Forgiveness in his passing & Grace in having experienced his love!
A Love that Lightens Shadows, Leaves you Kinder, Truer to your Self,
Resilient enough in greatest of life’s turmoils- To Stand,
To Laugh & to Share Vulnerability of all your unspoken tears,
To Be Just & live in Transcendence
