After 15 years of hibernation, I feel an urge to travel light!...By letting out all that, That I in my 'Silence' bottled up inside. Some thoughts, some sketches, pictures & drawings...woven as poetry; the way I look at life.

As Engraving of Light, Through My Untold Darkness...

To live with A Grateful Mind,

Is to flutter on Wings of A Butterfly,

For those who’ve lived through

The most daunting of pains...

But Know! What is it to Smile!

,

I happened to see a movie Penguin Bloom, a true story about a family’s life that changes after an accident leaving the mother paralysed waist down & how a wounded bird they adopt help to heal!

The movie resonated with me deep & how just a date on a calendar, can snatch your entire life, When Pain knocks you down & takes you to an uncharted territory where there are no answers. For both Atul & me, that date was 3rd Nov 2001. Yet like the bird, Cocos presence helped fill many holes. Nobody can teach you how to walk through pain, like Animals. To me these souls are light through ones darkness. It’s something that we as humans know naught how to Be. I’ve often times been asked how does coco help, if he can’t cook nor run errands. There lies the inability to understand. Cause for a person like me who couldn’t walk in pain & have laid bedridden for years, Coco etched out that part of me that was numb as there are no answers to this 2decades of muscle weakness. Coco is that magical place in me, that has helped me heal & bloom. An engraving of light through my untold darkness. I know now, why humans can’t help because we don’t know how to Be. We are taught to do things & if some illness takes away that, then we simply cease. Yet here I’m coming from a place of Gratitude for all that life took in the Blessing of experiencing Coco. I pity those who are so in control of their lives that they’ve not experienced the beauty of being broken & touched by warmness. Animals come as souls to teach us that. They bloom our spirit with Belief & Hope. They heal us from inside even when nothing seems to be working. Like Black butterflies that are freed from ones darkness As Gratitude, they lay as warm sun, as fresco upon those bruised walls of time, that Pain burnt & purified into something beautiful. Hope you’re open enough, broken enough, vulnerable enough to experience this love of animals who but only teach you to Be! For therein lies The Healing!
