What it is to Die each moment
While you Live...
Through A Pain...
One Cannot See!
.
The irony of invisible pain is both a Blessing & A Curse!
As when you’re worst hit & most people can’t even fathom the bottom of the abyss you’re in, that indifference makes one ponder, the whole purpose of Pain, but is to reach out to another.
Yet on days when it snugs & seems to pale the life-force, yet you walk with a dignity that otherwise most visible or terminal illnesses takes away, then it all seems as a blessing. You know how people see people who walk through pain, just as a number, as one more added to the lot & by that itself diminish the very presence of God.
I guess that’s how it is with most of our relations, the other here is only to please & fulfil our whims & the day they can’t then that person simply cease to exist. In the most minutest subtle way, we are changing one another cause that’s easier than to Love.
While dogs, especially therapy dogs, accept you with all that is. Today Cocos patience was my strength as we were about to leave home for our morning walk & I collapsed. Having no energy whatsoever, while Atuls travelling on work. It took us more than2hours to make sense of space. As I lay besides him motionless, draining & life around seemed to dance on wind. In pain photography is no longer an art to create, but that moment where Coco & I lay still, while the bed sheet drying above us swayed like some flutter of wings, which if I could, then take us both & fly away. In Pain what I’m sharing is not photographs or art but the space I’m in, like an IV drip that’s slowly releases saline to give life, these flares act reversal, for the largest organ of my body, the skin when inflamed & flares, at multiple trigger points, then that draining, feels like a lil part of me has died
Coco knows it all, for he’s one with me, through that space of stillness, where life drains,
but for those who are unable to understand someone else’s invisible pain, i leave behind this space & words. For if you won’t understand the Silence woven in them, then to you, those who walk through invisible pain are just a mere number
