For Mumma Rani

& then I wonder…

how do I mend myself through grief & pain,

when my skin is soaked down to my bones in a life lost- in that blood that was spilled mercilessly for to them, “her life mattered naught!”

Maybe Grief is A Subjective thing, For it only finds its way into the hearts of those who know what it is to live a life of LOSS.

Maybe my prayers have turned into anger,

for how can people, just walk pass a life that yelped in untold pain, just before its final moments.

For they were far “too Careless- to even care”,

What their actions have met upon this life- “Innocent”

Maybe they shall be freed with bail of mere Rs 50, For though India freed itself from the rule of British colony, Yet it still Needs to free itself-

“From Laws as inhumane as these”

For as they say- “A Nations Moral Compass”,

is measured on the grounds of how its beings, treat those who have “No Voice Nor Any Rights” For are All Lives Measured Equal to Humans? Or left to die…

I wonder do our indie dogs even know that their names aren’t - “Chal Haat!”,

(When Demeaningly Pushing Away someone in a  slang tone that means - “Get Lost!”)

When often times they are kicked around, beaten, thrown acid, or worst even run over by those who are far too drunken, not just in their bodies, but even in their Arrogance for they have Grown Blind to see that the “Same God Resides in All!”

Yes my prayers have turned into Anger for I hope to you all this is not just a mere post, that will be swiped & forgotten- For She Was “Just A Dog!”

A dog named “Mumma Rani”,  who was sleeping peacefully, Only to run over her life & left to die even before she could be caressed in arms of love!

Just yesterday late night I came upon this post about a dog named Rani & it pained my heart…

I don’t know if this can ever end, how we treat animals, But I Truly Hope that we can take A Step towards More Stringent laws when in comes to cruelty against all animals.
