After 15 years of hibernation, I feel an urge to travel light!...By letting out all that, That I in my 'Silence' bottled up inside. Some thoughts, some sketches, pictures & drawings...woven as poetry; the way I look at life.

It’s Okay Mom….

Often times…Cocos face surfaces right in front of mine…Saying…

“It’s Okay Mom, You’re doing Good”, leaving my eyes moist as I traverse through this loss

Lately upon Cocos passing…

I’ve come to realise, How the ones who truly Loved you & shown you how to love yourself,

Can Turn Even Death into a space of being Unabashedly Truthful to yourself!

It’s a place of quietness, Grief, A White Space that mellows all your shadows within

A place where there’s No Colour,

Simply those eyes & That Face that keeps surfacing & softening all your rough edges

Every now & then, Cocos face comes right in front of mine, With His eyes piercing my soul

Just looking at me from inside, Saying

“It’s okay mom, You’re doing good!”

Such simple & beautiful words to tell someone, Who’s been through A Mountain of loss-

“It’s okay, You’re doing Good!”

I guess Death is that white wash that mutes all noises & egos needs to prove something, for acknowledgment, appreciation in this world of cacophony

It’s like the foam that a wave leaves upon sea bed, that dissolves & dissipates upon touch.

For even though Coco takes me places, I’m truly Not of this world

Where all that need to fill one’s emptiness in vain talks Dissipates in Silence, in Music, in Dancing & letting that grief spill from the pores of your skin, So that your loved one’s life is Rejoiced!

Yes many a times in utmost pain, through lupus when there was no way out, no answer, I’d dance,

With Coco & he’d keep circling around me, jumping, being happy,

Even though Pain robbed the rhythm in me

& even Now I dance for him & feel he’s happy, Even tho my feet lack strength & energy

Guess that’s what one can do with life, loss, pain & grief.

That what your loved ones taught is enough!

E N O U G H that even in this Grief, You’d Celebrate All By Yourself;

What A Way He Lived!

Coco Thankyou for teaching me how I can grow flowers even through my grief & for showing me,

If Death left untouched as a white space,

Can help one grow roots, Given the Time one Needs!
