Let’s Go Coco…

Have you experienced a knot in your stomach, Gut-wrenching…

As Atul & I left in the wee hours of morning

For a journey that to Coco was long promised!

Carrying the earthen pot of his ashes

As I locked the door, Choked & tears flowed…

Where these last 11 days, I I lit a candle & kept his favourite food near his water bowl

For he gave us this time to cry & mourn,

As without him the house is just empty,

“As he is our Home!”

While he paved a miracle & got a car arranged, So that we can keep the promise to take him to the mountains, lay beneath the stars & sit by the lakes

A journey we Never thought, this is how we’d take

To places he’d love to explore & roam, Check the bushes or turn a stone

How I remember earlier, he’d check the bags, tippy toed

That we three wud be together exploring

Our Souls

Now in silence our hearts shall fulfil the promise!

To take Coco to the mountains

And maybe by the river lay his ashes!

For he wouldn’t want us to Regret Nor live in Remorse

Maybe this is how destiny intended

That A Promise given,

is Fulfilled on my scribbles of tearful notes

This journey is cocos way of taking me out of home, as I have barely travelled due to chronic pain of 20yrs

Coco & I never got to travel long distance, As he & I, both needed an entire seat to lay down & somehow that car journey never happened. But even in his passing he made way

There were lots of breaks, I kept shuffling sleeping & sitting position in car, with tears, music, long periods of silence & holding his pot of ashes close to my heart

All of sudden atul & I had nothing left to speak, as we vainly tried to talk, with our hearts-heavy

We kept a sticker of his portrait & the writing- “Let’s Go Coco!” pasted on his car.

Let’s Go Coco to the mountains & lakes,

Let’s Go Coco, For we made you a promise for years, though Painfully Now Life Ordained!

Let’s Go Coco, for I know you want me to heal & not cry,

& Every time I Shall take One Step, I’ll silently call onto you-

Let’s Go Coco! & do the things needed in this life
