It’s been raining…
O it’s been raining long,
For some odd 22yrs, where I had to unlearn & learn how does one pass one day from another through such blazing storms.
Just then a bird flew & came upon my window sill & sang a song of Hope, that my Coco often breathes; it’s feathers ruffled though the downpour that seemed to glue its wings-
O it could fly no more…for life asked it to remain Still!
O was that bird Coco, was it my imagination or a dream, for the yellow carried the amber of orange rust & his eyes locked in mine- to help me Raise from life’s dust
In quietness it gave me space to bear the dark skies. While piercing storms poked upon my scalp of Lupus making me feel- “ I won’t make it, through such dark nights”
& through stifled breaths I’d gasp & weep, to see he’d remain still & at times he’d cry along in silence so that the downpour of this physical pain, could not numb me.
They say give name to your pain- to remain free,
Simply write, paint, draw, your pain & when you just can’t help then weep.
But hold on to that bird called Hope; those lights that shimmer upon horizon when skies turn blue reflecting the storms you’ve been through.
O What A Beautiful feeling it is to Hope- it’s like breathing New life in OLD-skin.
A Belief- blooms of promises that after the rain-
This earth greener breathes, But only if one allows the downpour of pain to strengthen & soften the soil… That against All Odds- Love came by…
Came As Hope, As Dawn, As Bird, As Song, As Gratitude of Cocos warmth to tell you, your story was Always about Love, Even Whilst this Pain encompassed as dark clouds
Yes it has been Raining long, Way too long for me,
But Now this Hope that Coco sang has ignited in me this Belief-
“That Spring is Nearer than I think!”
