This painting represents the window to my soul
(Mix-media photo collage)
Of a moment,
When in Surrender & Sheer Helplessness,
I let go…
And asked God- “Let Thy Will Be Done”
& Just a day to that prayer
Coco, with his eyes, said Good bye to us
Silently Laying his head upon my lap,
Sleeping Pain free! Alas!
.
Part of the song which I sang in Gratitude to Coco is from a Marathi film Ventilator &
It is sung as a Farewell to one’s dad.
Baba in Marathi means dad, Yet for me it echoes the love of both Shirdi Baba & Coco
The words in song mean, that you were God to me & in all games, You we’re there to play. That I was smarter, While you were mad to give away everything for me so selflessly.
At least Now let me repay it to you. For in this world, All I’ll Ever Need is You!
Baba Please Wait, Baba please don’t leave.
Coco was a therapy dog, who’s love alone was my healing through lupus & even in his passing, he’s taught me to accept life & be self-reliant, come what may,
Never give in
The painting got finished last week, but since then, nerves in both my hands gave in, leaving me once again unable to use my hands
